Armacao de Pera offers one of the best sandy beaches in the Algarve. The old part of the town still retains much of its original charm although the town has grown over the past few years. There are many bars and restaurants along the beach front and the standard of food served is generally excellent. There is a traditional market every day and the fisherman still sell their day’s catch from the beach especially to the local restaurants!
The Algarve is renowned for its golf courses and there are more than 30 excellent golf courses within easy reach of the Hotel Garbe. We have a dedicated golf desk and our experienced staff can you provide you with further information.
The many attractions of the Algarve are all within easy reach and include historical sites and churches, winery visits, Porches Pottery and Zoomarine where you can experience swimming with the dolphins.
The Adega do Cantor or Winery, owned by Sir Cliff Richard, is situated at Guia, a few kilometres northwest of Albufeira in the middle of the Algarve. It was built to produce wine, principally the Vida Nova range, from three surrounding Quintas, Quinta do Moinho, Quinta do Miradouro and Vale do Sobreiro.
The winery is situated at the top of Quinta do Miradouro from which stunning views of the surrounding vineyards and coast line can be seen.
As well as producing wine they also offer a range of guided tours of the vineyards and winery, tutored tastings and the opportunity to purchase both wines and a variety of merchandise.

Slide & Splash Water Park, located near Lagoa, was opened in June 1998 and since then has continually grown and updated their facilities. It is now considered the best water park in Europe. Great for a day out.

Almancil Karting, located in Almancil, is the place for everyone interested in motor sport and a bit of competition! Open all year, the circuit was inaugurated by Ayrton Senna in 1992, and is a replica of the former Formula 1 circuit in Brazil Jacarepaguá.
A popular attraction with over 250,000 visitors every year it is an ideal place to visit with family, friends or colleagues.
